Our approach

Local Commitment, Global impact

The ESG – Environment, Social & Governance – strategy in Portugal is developed locally, taking into account the commitments defined at Arrow Global Group level. The initiatives we promote are guided by three essential pillars, namely employee well-being, support for the surrounding community and sustainability.

All actions are aligned with the SDGs – Sustainable Development Goals, adopted by all United Nations Member States in 2015, which define the priorities and aspirations for global sustainable development by 2030.

Environment

We work every day to ensure that our companies contribute to a more sustainable future. To this end, we are committed to reducing our ecological footprint by adopting more environmentally friendly internal measures.

Sustainable consumption

Promoting the responsible and sustainable use of the resources we have in the office, by eliminating disposable containers and individual waste bins (creating recycling islands).

100% green car fleet

We are introducing plug-in hybrids and electric cars into the vehicle fleet. Change is happening gradually and steadily.

A more sustainable office

The choice of materials is strategically thought out in order to reduce our environmental footprint, as is the case with the use of LED lights throughout the building.

Hybrid Working System

As well as giving employees more flexibility, this measure reduces office travel and, as a result, CO2 emissions.

Social

Projects that make a difference

We are committed to supporting organizations that reflect our values. In this way, we support a number of social partners every year who are committed to helping people in the most vulnerable situations or even promoting financial literacy among young people.

Junior Achievement Portugal.
We bring financial literacy to the youngest
We have a partnership with Junior Achievement Portugal, a non-profit organization that inspires and prepares young people for the future. Every year, we carry out multiple initiatives together, from mentoring to training and events. Since 2017, we have impacted more than 17,000 students from the north to the south of the country.

Just a Change
We rebuild lives
Since 2021, we have rehabilitated two institutions, in partnership with Just a Change – a non-profit association that rehabilitates the homes of people in need and charitable institutions in Portugal. We brought together a number of volunteers from our companies and set to work renovating spaces that were suffering from structural problems.

Make a Wish
We make dreams come true for children and young people
Make-a-Wish Portugal’s mission has been part of our history since 2017. We have organized various fundraising initiatives so that the institution can continue to make dreams come true for children and young people between the ages of 3 and 17 with serious illnesses.
Helpo
We spread smiles across borders
For several years now, we have been participating in the Long Distance Child Sponsorship Program, promoted by Helpo – an international organization that supports vulnerable populations. We have also made occasional donations to help feed the most vulnerable populations in Africa.
We reduce our environmental footprint
In September 2022 we laid the foundation stone for the Oriente Green Campus project, the first office building in Greater Lisbon to be LEED Platinum certified, under the management of Norfin SGOIC. To offset the carbon emissions produced during the event, employees planted more than 60 trees in the Sintra mountains.
