Oriente Green Campus distinguished as Green Asset Initiative of the Year

Oriente Green Campus, the only office building in the Iberian Peninsula managed by Norfin SGOIC, a leading real estate investment manager in Portugal, has won the Iberian Green Asset Initiative of the Year award at the Iberian Property Awards.

The Green Asset Initiative of the Year award recognizes initiatives related to an existing asset in the context of a requalification, a transaction, a new development of a detached asset, or any action related to assets under management – the common requirement is that such an initiative demonstrates exceptional energy performance or improvements in aspects such as energy consumption, waste, water, mobility, etc.

“It is with great satisfaction that we see Oriente Green Campus recognized with this Iberian award, where factors such as Sustainability and Innovation in the real estate sector are considered by a vast group of judges. This is a special project, among others that we manage, so it gives us even more motivation to continue innovating and developing and managing projects that mark the cities and countries where they are located.”explains Henrique Rodrigues da Silva, COO of the Norfin Group, adding that “This work shows that it is possible to develop landmark projects with existing infrastructures. In this case, it was possible to reuse 91% of the existing structure, saving around 20,000 tons ofCO2.

Scheduled for completion in the second half of 2024, the Oriente Green Campus holds LEED and WELL Platinum certifications, which reflect the highest standards of energy efficiency and well-being, making it a highly sustainable world-class office building.

Located in Moscavide, this building has a total interior area of 41,100m2 and 18,700m2 of outdoor areas. It will have various amenities, such as a food court for the exclusive use of users, a gym, an auditorium, extensive green areas and parking for vehicles, including bicycles, as well as a natural ventilation system that will allow for greater air renewal inside and a reduction in energy consumption.

Oriente Green Campus is managed by Norfin SGOIC and belongs to the Multiusos Oriente – Fundo Especial de Investimento Imobiliário Fechado fund, held by Orion V European 19 S.À.R.L and Orion V European 20 S.À.R.L, which represent the investor Orion Capital Managers.
